Joshua Port, M.D., Re-Certified in Orthopedic Sports Medicine

University Orthopedics Center (UOC) is proud to announce that Joshua Port, M.D., has completed his combined Orthopedic and Sports Medicine re-certification and is now certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery through 2026. Dr. Port has maintained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine since 2009 and is the only orthopedist in the area with this distinction. Board Certification is based on a presentation of cases, continuing education with a component of scored assessments, and a certifying exam. Dr. Port is the Head Team Physician of the Altoona Curve’s Professional Baseball Team and an athletic consultant to several area universities and high schools. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Port is currently accepting new patients at UOC’s Altoona office located on Fairway Drive. His professional focus is on shoulder and knee surgery in Sports Medicine.
