Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties
The Patient Support Representative (Registration/Appointments) is responsible for the courteous and prompt registration of patients. Records complete and accurate patient demographics and insurance information; obtains all necessary signatures at the time of check-in. Scans all patient, insurance and medical information presented at the time of registration into an electronic medical record. The Patient Support Representative provides efficient and timely management of scheduling all follow-up appointments and coordinating all patient financial obligations upon completion of the appointment. Protects patient confidentiality during the entire registration and scheduling process by securing patient information and discussing processes in a manner supporting patient privacy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidates must be proficient in all office, computer, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior healthcare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, e-mail and computer literacy is necessary.
- Travel to satellite facilities may be required

POSITION SUMMARY
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) role is to assist the physical therapy staff. Some of the specific duties include: assisting patients through exercise routines, assisting the physical therapists with efficiency in the flow of patient treatment, set-up of modalities, cleaning treatment tables and rooms after patient use, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, filing patient charts, making copies of home exercise programs, and phone work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To accompany/transfer patients to the appropriate treatment area to facilitate the
treatment process.
- To assist in routine patient care activities as directed by the treating Physical
Therapist/Physical Therapist Assistant and within the guidelines mandated by the
State’s Physical Therapy practice Act
- Maintain the facility in a clean and organized fashion throughout the day with
more specific duties assigned by the Physical Therapy Manager. - Assist in routine clerical duties as deemed necessary by the Physical Therapy Manager
- Provide routine maintenance and cleaning to physical therapy equipment.
Contact, by phone, patients who have not shown for their appointment
- Adhere to clinic policies and procedures
- Participate in in-service education provided by clinical staff
- Assist in other clinic functions as requested by the Physical Therapy Manager, Clinical Coordinator, or Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Notifies the Physical Therapy Manager of any supply, maintenance, or scheduling
problems as they arise
- Comply with HIPAA regulations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- B.S. in exercise physiology or related field.
- Must possess the ability to relate and work well with patients, peers, and
supervisors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Possibility of very heavy work requiring moving objects in excess of 100 lbs.
Also including frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50lbs. or
more. Constant standing and walking involved in performing the essential
elements of the job. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions.
The visual demand is a minimal standard requiring the possibility of work dealing
with distances close to the eyes.

We are excited to meet highly motivated candidates who have excellent people skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced professional medical office.
The Total Joint Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the care continuum for total joint patients. The Joint Program Coordinator provides leadership for all aspects of the continuum of care beginning before surgery through one-year post-op; including Pre-Admission Testing, Peri-op Services, Post-op Care (Physician appointments and Rehabilitation) and all other applicable entities within the orthopedic service line related to evidence-based medicine. Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of program goals and operations. Responsible for providing education to other clinic employees to ensure proper care/documentation is being completed in compliance with all legal, administrative, and regulatory standards in regards to total joint guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop standardized care plans with the surgeons including pre-op, post-op, and discharge orders.
- Ensure appropriate pre-op procedures for each patient prior to Develop and oversee the creation of pre and post-operative teaching classes including the coordination of teaching materials within the physicians’ office. Create a measurement system for tracking surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction, complications, etc.
- Lead regularly scheduled meetings with physicians and key staff.
- Identify patient amenities and secure necessary resources to administer the services.
- Serve as a clinical resource person for staff and members of the health care team.
- Answer questions and coordinate hospital care.
- Provide inpatient and clinical care support with post-operative patients as needed.
- Act as a liaison throughout the course of treatment from pre-op through 1 year post op.
