Dr. Christopher McClellan Gives Lecture at 2016 Fall Musculoskeletal Leadership Summit

Altoona, PA October 11, 2016 – University Orthopedics Center’s (UOC) Christopher S. McClellan, DO was invited faculty to present at the 2016 Fall Musculoskeletal Leadership Summit held in Chicago, IL on Thursday, October 6, 2016. His presentation included information on “The Move to Outpatient Total Joints”. The Musculoskeletal Leadership Summit is a conference that focuses on the industry’s push to implement value-based care. Musculoskeletal service line leaders are under pressure to change their processes in order to be adaptable to payment reform and new models of care. Leaders from across the country shared their experiences and best practices for creating orthopedic and spine centers of excellence. Topics included: Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) Model, physician alignment, bundled payments, medical tourism, outpatient surgery, patient experience, and marketing for growth. Dr. McClellan is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and has unique competencies in the area of Hip/Knee Replacement. He also specializes in general orthopedics and performs knee arthroscopy and injuries of the hip and knee. Dr. McClellan is accepting new patients at our Altoona (Fairway Drive), DuBois, and Bedford locations.
