One team, one goal.
The University Orthopedics Center Spine Institute provides patients with a dedicated team of specialized physicians and support staff to evaluate and treat all aspects of musculoskeletal disorders. In conjunction with our established orthopedics center, the Spine Institute provides comprehensive evaluations and treatments for patients suffering from soft tissue injuries, acute neck and back pain, disc injuries and disorders, sciatica, and referred pain into the extremities, hips, and shoulders.
Our specialized Spine Institute Team includes fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeons Dr. Gregory Bailey and Dr. Joel Torretti, fellowship trained and board certified pain management physicians Dr. Todd Cousins, Dr. Keith Zora, and Dr. Fred Khalouf, and Dr. Paul Lamb, a chiropractic treatment and adjunctive therapies specialist. The Spine Institute Team is complemented by a comprehensive support staff of allied health providers, including massage therapists and spine certified physical therapists. The UOC Spine Institute also has a full array of on-site diagnostic services, including MRI.
The Spine Institute Team collaborates to develop individualized plans of care for each patient. A comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan may include a combination of non-invasive integrated chiropractic and physical therapy, minimally invasive peripheral and central nerve blocks, more advanced therapies such as nucleoplasty, and invasive surgical treatments as well.
The UOC Spine Institute provides patients with the advantages of a true multidisciplinary approach to individualized evaluation and treatment, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and second opinions regarding proposed care.
Patients can visit The Spine Institute at three locations — 476 Rolling Ridge Drive in State College, PA, 1505 9th Avenue, Station Medical Center, Altoona, PA, and 145 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
