Certified Medical Coder (Full-Time) - State College
University Orthopedics Center, a leading provider of orthopedic services is currently seeking a Certified Medical Coder. Candidates must be highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced professional medical office. This position is responsible for performing surgical coding, thorough claims follow-up, and denials management. Additional responsibilities include assisting with internal audits and coding reviews, identifying areas to optimize revenue recovery and minimize risk, developing and assisting in educational trainings for providers and staff. Qualifications and Skills •Current Medical Coding Certification (CPC or CCS preferred) •Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding •Knowledge base in coding processes and healthcare laws and regulations affecting coding requirements •Excellent time management and organizational skills •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
