  • What is NextMD?
NextMD is a patient portal service that eliminates time-consuming phone calls and allows you, the patient, on-line access to your physician's office. All requests or questions will be answered within 24 hours. With respect to system security, unlike emails that use multiple servers over the internet, the NextMD technology allows your doctor to use a single server secured by both a firewall and 128-bit encryption to safeguard your privacy. This secured system operates by a password protected log-in that you receive upon registering for the service. Only you will have access to your information. Each family member will receive their own log-in code and password. If the patient is under 18 years of age, the responsible parent will receive the enrollment code and password information.
  • What are the benefits?

With NextMD, you not only access your medical record, but also a wealth of general health information online. When you log onto NextMD, you can easily view new messages from the practice or take advantage of its many powerful features as offered:

Access and request personal or general information.
Receive and review Lab Results within days of the testing.
    Request or confirm an appointment.
    Request medication refills.
    Receive documents from your doctor.
    Receive important notifications.
View statements and correspondence from UOC.
Fill out forms and previsit questionnaires requested by UOC.
  • How NextMD Works
When you first enter the web site for NextMD you will be asked for your User Name and Password. For first time users, you will use the Enroll Now icon. Just follow the instructions to complete the enrollemnt/login process.

From the welcome screen you can navigate your way to Compose Messages, Renew Medication, Request Appointments, View Statements, or visit NextMD's Research Center.
  • Appointment Requests
The Appointment Request screen enables you to communicate with UOC online and minimizes phone calls. You can request an appointment from UOC using your NextMD Web account. A submitted appointment request does not guarantee an actual appointment with your physician. A requested appointment must be confirmed by UOC before it is considered a booked appintment. Allow at least 24 hours to receive a reponse. If needed, you can then request a change or cancel the request.
  • Send Us A Message
The Compose Message screen enables you to communicate directly with your physician and their clinical staff. All starred fields are required. Once you have selected your provider and message type, just enter the subject line and your message. Once you request has been submitted to UOC, you will receive an email confirming you have sent the message. You will then receive another email with the response from UOC within 24 business hours.
