We currently have positions available at both State College and Altoona locations. A Physical Therapist/ATC would be preferred but not mandatory.

About the Job
Responsible for performing physical therapy evaluations, treatments and related services as established by state law. The physical therapists successful work performance requires initiative in supervisory skills as well as the ability to interpret and implement changes to resolve a variety of problems.

• Prefer a therapist with ability to perform a variety of manual techniques
• Acquires all pertinent background information relating to the patient and the referral diagnosis.
• Plans and carries out a physical therapy evaluation which is valid, reliable, and appropriate to the patient.
• Establishes a physical therapy diagnosis along with short and long term goals for the patient.
• Plans and implements a comprehensive physical therapy program in response to changing patient's needs.
• Records all pertinent patient information relating to the evaluation and treatment program.
• Instruct patients in home exercise programs and provide written instructions as appropriate.
• Assign treatment procedures and supervise the progress of the patients being treated by physical therapist assistants.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with physicians regarding a patient’s course of treatment and progress.
• Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment, provide direction and information to patients, family members and co-workers.

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's degree and/or higher level.
• Licensed or licensed eligible by the state of Pennsylvania.

The (DSS) requires the ability to identify issues based on data analysis, who will work with senior management to provide solutions within our well-established Orthopedic Practice.

Candidate must be highly motivated with strong analytical abilities. Specific skills/knowledge should include Financial analysis, modeling and advanced Excel proficiency.

Job duties include:
Establishes data accuracy and validity derived from a variety of systems. Performs data analysis using statistical techniques. Assists in the preparation and delivery of decision support reports to management. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area ( preferred ). UOC is seeking a full time Patient Accounts Representative for the State College location. Candidates must be highly motivated, compassionate, and enjoy working in a fast paced professional medical office.

The Patient Accounts Representative performs a variety of complex clerical and accounting functions for patient billing, including verification of invoice information, maintenance of third party billing records, and resolution of a variety of problems. Follows up on submitted claims and patient billing; resubmits claims or resolves problems. Manages cash items and accounts receivable posting. Responsibilities also include verification of benefits for physical therapy appointments and to assist with obtaining physical therapy authorizations. Candidates must have prior billing experience, excellent computer skills and good communication skills.

University Orthopedics Center, a leading provider of orthopedic services is currently seeking a Triage/Scheduling Nurse for our State College location. Candidates must be highly motivated, compassionate, and enjoy working in a fast paced professional medical office. Primary responsibilities include performing telephone, appointment scheduling and triage calls within our call center.

Additional responsibilities include providing coverage for triage/scheduling nurse functions as needed. Responsible for the courteous and prompt scheduling of all patients appointments through various UOC office locations. Accountable for the efficient management of patient care activities. Facilitates the integration of administrative and patient care functions to improve clinic performance and patient satisfaction. Complies with all legal, administrative and regulatory standards.

Patient Support Representative-Float position is responsible for performing the registration and check out/appointment scheduling functions for all UOC locations. We currently have 2 vacancies.

Candidates must be proficient in all office, computer, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills. Healthcare or hospitality experience is a major plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, e-mail and computer literacy is necessary.
